No April Showers here!

So, we had another great day of outdoor play/work today. We bought some pansies the other day and I had to plant them because we are going to be busy the rest of the week. We waited for Liam to go down for his nap after lunch and then we headed out. We had to go out to "Daddy's Shaed" (Meghan's pronounciation). We headed back out front equipped with a couple of trowels and a rake. The kids loved digging in the dirt and helping out. We planted a row of flowers and then we came upon the big excitement for the day.....a worm! The kids were fascinated with it and we watched it as it burrowed back into the dirt. When the story was recounted to Daddy at dinner, it was so cute.

Meghan: "We saw a worm, Daddy, but we can't touch it"
Nolan: "He was REALLY BIG!"
Meghan: "He had to go back in the dirt"
Nolan: "He doesn't like the sunshine"

Apparently they are now pros on worms and their habitat.

So we got everything planted and then we came in to work on supper. We were making two pans of stuffed shells...one for us and one for the Fords. Liam woke up in the meantime and the kids started bugging me to go for a walk...in the red carriage. Once I had everything settled in the kitchen, we headed on out. We walked for a bit with the twins directing again. We got back and played in the yard until supper. I so love being able to spend time outdoors!!
